Once in a while, an audio interface test will fail, but if you just run it again, it will often pass.

If this happens to you, simply click the orange Resync button (pictured below with arrow) to make the JamKazam test run again. If either the Latency or I/O scores under Test Results are displayed in dark red, this means a test has failed, and the orange Next button in the bottom right corner of the wizard will be disabled. JamKazam has conducted in-depth scientific/mathematical measurements (using a technique called loopback testing with waveform analysis) and verified that the audio processing latency for your Scarlett 2i2 with these settings is actually 7 milliseconds.

As an FYI, the Mac system is reporting 8ms, but Mac computers do not always report audio processing latency with highly reliable accuracy. In this case, the Mac system is reporting that latency has been reduced to about 8ms. When you select the 1ms Frame Size, the JamKazam application will re-test your latency. Next, click to open the Frame Size list box, and pick the 1ms frame size option (pictured below with arrow). 11 milliseconds, which is eleven one-thousandths of a second), which is what the Mac system is reporting back to the JamKazam app. Sometimes this reported value is fairly accurate, and other times a bit less so. You should see a reported latency value of approximately 11ms (i.e. You will now see the JamKazam app test your audio interface settings for 5 seconds, and you will see 'Test Results' reported on the right side of the screen (pictured below with arrow). Click this option in the list to select it.

This is the option for your Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. You see the list box open, and you need to find the option for 'Scarlett 2i2 USB' (pictured below with arrow). Click the Audio Input Device list box (pictured below with arrow). You should now be looking at Step 2 of the audio setup wizard. To reach this point, you should have just just connected your audio interface and all of your audio gear and instruments, and started the audio setup wizard as explained in this help article.
